AFHR-EUROPE condemns the saudi arrest of a Qatari National

Geneva – Arab Federation For Human Rights – Europe condemn the arrest of Qatari national Mohsin saleh Al Korabi. The organisation considers the arrest as part of the Saudi Totalitarian repression against either its nationals or nationals of other countries.

The Arab Federation added that this Saudi step is dangerous and part of a wider campaign against Qatar which was started in the summer of 2017.

Mr. AL korabi was in a visit to his family relatives in Yemen when he was arrested. Sadly, Saudi army on the border point arrested him under false claims that he is an intelligence agent.

AFHR – Europe calls on the Saudi Arabia’s government to immediately release the Qatari national and refrain from carrying such behaviour which only damage relations between the two countries.

Spokesman of AFHR-EUROPE added that Mr. Al Korabi is under an illegal arrest and reports revealed exclusively to our organisation that he is being intimidated and interogated by Saudi and Emirati soliders.

“We will lodge an immediate complaint to the UN representative in Yemen on this case. Saudi and Emirati soliders don’t abide by any laws and their behaviour is very close to paramilitaries” added the spokesman

AFHR-EUROPE will do its utmost to protest against the Saudi illegal action. It will work with other International NGOs to expose this act and help save Mr. Al korabi.
